My name is Lucas Dorward. I am available for hire for design and photography needs and exploring collaborations with artists and musicians.
Thank you to anyone visiting my website and viewing my creative work. Art is a vulnerable thing to put out in the world, and I feel honored when anyone purchases a print or simply tells me they enjoy something I’ve made or a photo I’ve taken. Let’s keep supporting art in our communitues in any way we can, even if it’s simply letting your artist friends know that you saw and appreciate what they’ve created.
Thank you all!
The story behind the name De Lundin
Most things have more of a story behind them than we realize. Could be businesses, branding, antiques, photos, names, etc. I think we would have a greater appreciation for what is around us if we learned such things. I appreciate what came before us and how intriguing it is to understand the people, events and stories that led to our current life we’re living now.
As I delved into our family history, particularly where my rather rare last name came from, I found lineage that goes back further than I expected to find. Back in the 13th century De Lundin was the surname of the man named Thomas from Normandy who lived in Scotland and became usher to King William the Lion. He was given the official position of Door Ward (guard of the king’s castle and properly), and so began the line of Dorwards.
